Tregaskis served as a war correspondent during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He received the Overseas Press Club's George Polk Award in 1964 for first-person reporting under hazardous circumstances. Sean Runnette, a multiple AudioFile Earphones Award winner, has produced several Audie Award-winning audiobooks. He is a member of the American Repertory Theater company and has toured internationally with Mabou Mines, an avant-garde theater company.
