At 18 she and her younger brother immigrated to California but after college she moved to Guam and in 2001, Lana'i, Hawai'i. Aletha has lived in the village of Honomu, Hawai'i since 2017 and works at a local shop. She is also working on a graduate degree in Sustainability Education and enjoys planting flowers and hopes to grow lots of food in 2026.
