Reviews

*I feel like I'm learning something on every page. I'm overstanding a world I never knew existed but was always there in Laurence's gentle strong soul... I'm going to go back to it next week after all this - I'll hope to be able to savor the book and take its deep life into my currntly overstimulated mind. But let me leave off with congratulations and gratitude for this life and this book *Thank you for sending me the link to your book. I bought the Kindle edition this morning and read it over a cup of coffee. The passage on cultural expression, shared identity, authentic intergenerational and intercultural stories, and a more global rather than homogenized vision really stayed with me. I felt a strong resonance with my own worldview and with what I am trying to express. I also appreciated the philosophical undercurrent. *Intriguing *Thank you for alerting me to Cultural Expression and to your company Rhythms of the Globe. We have requested that UW-Madison Libraries buy a copy of the book too. I am always interested to learn how those who got to study with Mosse were influenced by his lectures and approach to history. I think it important that your book be part of the UW-Madison Libraries. Skye Doney, PhD, Director, George L. Mosse Program in History *At its heart, this book proposes a new kind of cultural infrastructure - locally rooted, globally connected, economically sustainable, and built on trust rather than centralized control. Through music, film, poetry, and all essential components of a global ecosystem, Laurence offers a vision for evolving lifestyles in the 21st century.
