Overview

When private detective John Wesley Tucker is hired to do a background check for an aspiring politician, he finds himself stalked by evil. East Texas is not the center of the known universe, and Tyler is hardly a major metropolis, but people are people, wherever you find them. In his service to others, he will be the target of a professional assassin, follow the strange clues of a deranged man while seeking to find kidnapped children, and bring home a teenage girl who has been lost to the streets. In the end, he and those around him will be drawn into a trap from which few will walk away. John Wesley Tucker is neither an ordinary detective nor an ordinary man. Certainly there is more about Tucker than meets the eye, but is he even human? A detective mystery, a thriller, and an exploration of current conflicting ideas and beliefs, filled with intrigue, action, betrayal and a distinctly spiritual twist. ANGELS & IMPERFECTIONS is contemporary, suspenseful, relevant and at times, violent, offering a unique cultural point of view not often depicted.

Author Information

Born in Bakersfield, California and abandoned by his parents in Seattle, Washington, Daniel Roland Banks lived in the foster care system for some years; He was adopted at the age of seven. At sixteen years of age, Mr. Banks left to find his way in the world. He's traveled internationally, lived in Idaho, Washington, California, Virginia, and now makes his home in Texas with his wife Lora. They have four grown children, of whom they are justifiably proud, not because they are such good parents but because God is good. A member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Western Writers of America, he's a writer, a painter and a sculptor. At one (brief) point Daniel was one of the 3% of fine visual artists who earned their entire income from sales of their art. In 2013, after 40+ years of searching, He found and got reacquainted with his half-brother and a host of relatives from his birth mother's side of the family. Daniel Roland Banks can't sing or dance, but he'd like to think he's considered an engaging public speaker, an accomplished horseman and an excellent judge of single malt Scotch. www.danielbanks-books.com
