Mark graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. He worked in public accounting handling tax and general business consulting, and then entered the employment industry in 1993. In 2007, he started the recruiting firm MGR Accounting Recruiters. In 2016, he started the Where Accountants Go podcast. He has served in several professional associations at both the board level and committee level, including the Texas Society of CPAs, their local San Antonio Chapter, the Institute of Management Accountants, Financial Executives International, and the American Payroll Association.
