"DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE? DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR PURPOSE IS? We're conditioned from childhood to conform to societies' expectations or else suffer the consequences. Many of us carry this worldview into young adulthood and beyond. We ask the question ""Who am I?"" but we don't delve into the deeper answers. We give clich answers like I am _______ (insert your label) or I do _______ (insert your profession). The list is on-going. None of this is wrong, but as you'll soon find out none of it is right. Author Darcey Kesner Hawkins understands this first hand because she lived it. In Who is That in the Mirror? she reveals the same steps which helped her peel away the layers of generational trauma and childhood sexual abuse. Although these uninvited experiences constricted her true identity, she took control of self-limiting beliefs from her formative years to become a Phoenix Rising, living life with intention. Readers will discover how to -Remove layers hiding their true identity. -Discover their ultimate purpose.-Live with intention in work and family life. Everyone wants to live a purpose-filled life, making an impact no matter how great or small. In Who is That in the Mirror? Darcey Kesner Hawkins takes you on a journey of transformation and rejecting labels, which will forever change your life if you let it. She shares how trauma led her to become a Phoenix Rising, and she empowers you through simple but important steps to overcome the imposter inside, discover who you truly are, and live authentically. Kary Oberbrunner, author of Your Secret Name, The Deeper Path, Day Job to Dream Job, and Elixir Project Darcey Kesner Hawkins takes the reader on her personal journey of self-discovery in Who Is That In The Mirror? Hawkins shares the life, loves, and losses that challenged her throughout her life. She ultimately identifies the patterns that created so many roadblocks to her personal success and happiness. Darcey shares the tools she used and the path she followed to find the peace, fulfillment, and happiness we all seek. One does not need to have traveled the same road to benefit from her insightful and real-world solutions and apply her wisdom to our own lives. A compelling read, I highly recommend this book to all seeking greater understanding of how to be authentic, happy, and fulfilled. Nansi Krauss, Editor Who is That in the Mirror? , written by Darcey Kesner Hawkins, chronicles her journey of wearing labels or roles that society and her family placed upon her to the extent she questioned what it meant any more to be what Darcey refers to as her authentic self. In her book, she delves into how she was able to break free from just living the expectancy of others that she allowed herself to exist and found fulfillment in achieving her own visions. I identified with her as for years I allowed my various roles as a grandmother raising my grandchild, as a supportive mother to my daughters, a good wife, daughter, and sibling take precedence over things that I wanted to do for myself. I fell prey to the belief if I was the best at being there for others I would find my fulfillment in life. Why then did I feel such a huge void? After being healed from an aggressive form of breast cancer that kept me confined to chemo treatments and regimens of just trying to survive, I realized I couldn't stay stagnant in my life any longer. I needed to find my passions and live a more intentional life as I witnessed Darcey doing. She inspired me by how she reached her own milestones in her life so much that I knew she was my go-to for help. She guided me through several of her Intentional Living steps and helped me identify how to progress towards making my unfulfilled dreams a reality. Today, I have achieved two of my own milestones with the help of Darcey's strategic methods in defining one's authentic self. I look forward to continuing in my journey. This book is a must read! Nani Ware - A more purposeful soul.

"DARCEY KESNER HAWKINS is a Phoenix Rising. Through her writing, speaking, mentoring, and healing arts she helps people overcome the imposter inside, discover who they truly are, and implement habits to maintain their authentic self. Darcey is one of the masses who has struggled with finding out Who Is That in the Mirror?, what her passion is, and how to serve her community. Darcey's journey began with generational trauma, a sense of not belonging, and insecurity. She never felt ""good enough"". These self-limiting beliefs followed her into young adulthood where she threw herself into society's expectation of 'normal'. She became wife, mother, employee, full-time student, caretaker; always striving to 'become' but never achieving it-until now. Today, Darcey is a wise elder with years of experience and pain behind her. She invests in people beginning with her two grandchildren she is raising, care taking her mother for several years, and mentoring others in their personal growth. She lives in Washington with her two grandchildren, and two black 'panthers'."
