OverviewSpoken through the eyes and feelings of a newborn, this book offers an intimate and powerful perspective on the earliest moments of life-when the world is new, overwhelming, and entirely dependent on loving response. In these first hours and days, the baby's voice reveals a simple truth: nothing matters more than being held close and fed promptly. At the heart of the story is colostrum-the baby's first nourishment and first protection. Often called ""liquid gold,"" colostrum is presented not as a medical concept, but as a lifeline felt deeply by the baby. Rich, warm, and perfectly made for a brand-new body, it soothes hunger, coats the fragile gut, strengthens immunity, and signals safety in a world still being learned. Through the baby's perspective, readers come to understand that these first drops are not small or insignificant; they are powerful, intentional, and essential. Written for parents, caregivers, and anyone involved in early infant care, this book blends gentle advocacy with heartfelt storytelling. By allowing the baby to speak, it reframes breastfeeding as more than nutrition-it becomes protection, comfort, and the baby's first experience of being truly heard.
