Overview

Lionel is going to a party today, so he must do something about his bad hair. He finds a barber who has lots of crazy suggestions for hairstyles, from dandelion hair to octopus hair! Will Lionel find a style that suits him, and what will be the surprise ending? A head-sized hole in each page allows children to try out Lionel's hairstyles for themselves, and the back cover has instructions for how to create your own hairstyle.

Reviews

Obvious giggle potential . . . filled to bursting with Kitamura's comic creations. -- Sally Williams * Independent * a hilariously off-beat picture book, whose ingenious use of a hole shows a disgruntled lion having a beast of a bad hair day. -- Amanda Craig * The Times * hilarious and interactive . . . hours of fun * Southwark Weekender * will have enduring appeal as it will attract beginner readers as well as those able to read the speech bubbles and even follow instructions to make their own mask on the final page. This is a 'hands on' book - durable, enticing and made to have fun with. Overall, a funny and imaginative book which is ready for the rough and tumble of the beginner reader. * 5 to 7 Educator * Perfect for anyone who has ever had a bad hair day * Family Magazine *
