Excerpt from Western Australia and Its Welfare: A Reproduction of Articles Which Have Appeared in the West Australian Review, 1893 1894 Register, whether, or how far, it contributed to this result it is not for me to say. After running for six months under the above title, for reasons which are immaterial, the paper became the West Australian Review, having by this time a largely increased circle of readers, both in the United Kingdom and the Colonies. It was recently suggested to me that many of the earlier articles which appeared in the Regis ter and the Review before Westralia's notoriety was established would be worthy of reproduction in a concise form. The following pages have therefore been compiled from the issues of 1893-94 and will be found to contain both prophecies and commentari es on the passing cv of the most important epoch of Western Australia's history.
