He rose through the ranks of a family-run business to become Marvel Comics' primary creative leader for two decades, leading its expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics industry. The co-creator of numerous fictional characters including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man, he was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994. David DeSantos is an experienced stage, television, film, and voiceover actor. A proud member of Actors Equity, he produces the web series This Is Why I'm Single and voiced Laertes in the Grammy-nominated audio recording of Hamlet. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
