Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationAlbert Singh Veloso Mulles was born and raised in Tacloban City to an Indian father and a Filipina mother of Portuguese descent. His father, Alberto Singh Mulles, had a great influence on the young novelist, and was his source of culture and art that would later form the pillar of philosophy for the budding writer. The mother of the author, Susan Veloso, is from the Veloso clan whose roots were traced to the Galician noble Diego Veloso who served the crown of Queen Isabella I of Spain or known as the La Catolica. The Portuguese explorer migrated to the Philippines sometime in the 16th century during the height of the galleon trade. Their Philippine descendants still carry to this day the Official Coat of Arms granted to them by King Alfonso. Albert or Alby or Bert to his friends spent eight years in the seminary to study Philosophy and Theology subjects. He later joined the Augustinian congregation to become an apprentice for the religious order. He later left after serving a self-imposed regency, ending up as an English teacher for an international academy in Manila. Since then, he worked on different companies serving as an English consultant. Over the years, he dived into his passion for technology to take up short courses on the subject. He has a firm belief that education thru technology is the future. He has one daughter, Breanna Sofia, whom he loves very much more than anything else in the world. He lives to this day in Tacloban to go back to the quiet life of the country, writing and teaching during his spare time while at the same time involved in a small technology outfit he helped co-found with fellow IT friends. His hobbies include discovering the country's local sights and sounds. He loves pingpong, movie marathons and food tripping.
