I have taught ESL in the Palisades Park Public School System for the last 18 years and previously in the Jersey City, New Jersey school system for eight years and was intrigued to read Thinking In English by Dr. John Muciaccia. In fact, it was difficult to put this book down once I started reading it. Thinking In English presents an intelligent and refreshing way of teaching ESL. Dr. Muciaccia presents his own view of the cultural immersion method and I found it a wonderful perspective. The book is filled with examples and anecdotes that explain everything mentioned in the book. Author Information

John B. Muciaccia holds a doctoral degree from New York University and is a widely respected educator with a successful career of over thirty years as a public school teacher and administrator. He was also the director of the nationally recognized “Famous People Program,” a program designed to motivate students of all levels that ran for over twenty years and that was featured both on television and in the New York Times. Dr. Muciaccia continues to practice the methods presented in “Thinking in English” through his English tutoring business in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and he resides in Hoboken, New Jersey.
