OverviewReverend Percival Peabody is a well meaning, innocent, long-suffering, accident prone vicar rapidly approaching a mid life crisis and he has the unenviable task of tending to his wayward parish of Lower South-Borough. Any semblance of order falls by the wayside as his fondness for the quintessential pastime of bowling continually disrupts his well balanced life with hilarious results. Set against the backdrop of the village bowls club during a summer season, his patience, virtue and tolerance are tested to the limit by the rebellious members. It will take more than an Act of God to thwart the villagers' mischief making but he is determined to save their failing virtue. Percy also owns a rather disturbed moggie which is always in the wrong place at the wrong time as he struggles to maintain his rapidly deteriorating sanity. Beyond any saving grace, Rollo the vicarage cat carves a path of wilful destruction at every opportunity, wreaking havoc to all of Percy's best laid plans.
