Jackie and Norman's life together begins not with certainty but with accident. Author Information

Trevor Payne was born in Toronto and raised in Ottawa, Canada. He holds an English degree from Stanford University and an MFA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he began writing the manuscript that would become The Mechanicals. Payne taught public high school English for twenty-seven years before leaving the profession and relocating from the Philadelphia suburbs to New York City, where he now writes full-time.
