For Lion she has written vivid re-tellings of Bible stories and tales of the saints, and her newest book, The Good Thing About Bad Days is to help young readers through the tough times. Margaret lives in beautiful Northumberland with her husband, a retired Methodist minister. They have lived in five different places in the North-East and Yorkshire while bringing up three children. She loves books, theatre, animals, walks in the countryside, welcoming visitors to Hexham Abbey and meeting up with friends. Amanda Hall is an award-winning illustrator, particularly renowned for her wonderfully decorative and colourful children's book illustrations.
