"Harry Turtledove is a prolific and acclaimed author of alternate history fiction. He began as a dedicated scholar of history, earning a Ph.D in Byzantine History from UCLA in 1977. Dubbed ""The Master of Alternate History"" by Publisher's Weekly in 2008, Turtledove has won numerous awards for his contributions to the genre, including a Hugo Award and the Sidewise Award for alternate history."
