Jennifer Dameshek has spent over 30 years working with children, mostly in elementary classrooms-where plenty of real-life ""Gunner moments"" helped inspire the Gunner Lucci series. She holds a degree in psychology from UCLA, a master's degree in school counseling, a teaching credential, and GATE certification. She currently teaches second grade and serves as a university mentor for student teaching candidates. Jennifer lives in California with her husband and daughter.
