OverviewA girl clings to hope in a world built to destroy it—and a legendary guardian rises from myth to protect her. The Golem’s Holocaust is a haunting, unforgettable fusion of history and folklore, where courage, memory, and the human spirit are the ultimate acts of resistance. A young Jewish girl. A protector born of ancient legend. A fight to stay alive in a world torn apart by war. In The Golem’s Holocaust, Scott Eveloff reimagines the Jewish myth of the Golem in a deeply moving tale set against the horrors of Nazi-occupied Europe. When Shayna is torn from her family and thrust into the brutal reality of a concentration camp, her world narrows to one simple hope: survival. But just as all light seems lost, something stirs from legend—a guardian shaped from clay, bound to protect, and driven by a force beyond reason. As Shayna and the Golem form a fragile, powerful bond, she learns that staying alive means more than enduring pain. It means holding on to identity, to memory, and to the flicker of hope no matter how faint. Together, they navigate a landscape where myth and memory intertwine, where every small act of defiance matters, and where love and loyalty carry a terrible, beautiful weight. Blending historical fiction with Jewish folklore, The Golem’s Holocaust is a story of heartbreak and strength, of impossible choices and quiet courage. As Shayna faces the darkest parts of human history, she must decide what kind of person she will become—and how far she’s willing to go to save what matters most. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationScott Eveloff MD is a pulmonary physician with thirty years’ experience of treating seriously ill patients. He has appeared on The Dr. Oz Show, ABC’s 20/20, and Inside Edition. He is fascinated by history’s unsolved mysteries, among them how the Holocaust could ever have happened. Consideration of historical conspiracy theories, a belief in the possibility of the supernatural, and his own dedication to uplifting the disadvantaged and persecuted among us has led to his current published writings and books. Dr. Eveloff loves to travel but hates cruises, and can often be found attending concerts of his favorite (aging) musicians. He is enjoying retirement with his supportive physician wife. Spending time resuscitating plot lines instead of patients, he remains motivated by the comforting recollections of an uplifting childhood and by his late son Andrew, whose boundless enthusiasm lives forever like the characters he inspired.
