Overview

Somebody has stolen the eggs from the secluded nest near their village once before. This year they are determined that it won't happen again. Lecky and his friend Nora are going to be prepared. They build a hide and keep a close watch on anything suspicious in their village. They begin to suspect the local handyman, but succeed in spotting the real culprits just in time. Author Information

Joan Lingard was born in Edinburgh but grew up in Belfast. She has had a long and varied career in children's books, and was awarded the M.B.E. in 1998 for services to children's literature. She writes with equal success for teenagers, adults and the very young.
