Overview

The second book in 'The Butterfly Trilogy'. The period: 1800 - 1870. The Spanish Empire is crumbling. War and revolution are raging on three continents. Tomás de la Cruz, an orphan, adopted by a Spanish General and his wife, seeks to discover and understand his past and the mysterious medallion left to him by his father. His journey takes him from the New World to secret Andalucía and to the sacred Mount Tai in China where he relives his father's journey and learns the secrets of the Taoist Grand Celestial Masters. A gamekeeper's son from Scotland, a power hungry General and even Simon Bolivar all play their role in leading him to his destiny: 'el Sueño de las Mariposas' - The Butterfly Dream, a place which will link generations to come, for a purpose which must be discovered.
