Kerri-Anne Demelt has lived and worked with all kinds of animals, including cats, dogs, chickens, horses, donkeys, goats and, of course, guinea pigs. Since childhood, she has had a passion for reading and writing stories, often about animals. In her professional life in education, she became actively involved in school-based reading programmes, and she strongly advocates the importance of fostering a love of reading at an early age.
