Gavin Teakle is a British author, blogger and a retired Chartered Engineer. He studied Engineering Science at Durham University and has an MBA from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, NL and the William Simon School in Rochester, USA. He moved to the Netherlands in 1987 and pursued a career in Project Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Transport and Oil and Gas industries.He has travelled widely for work and pleasure to almost 50 different countries, and has lived and worked in nearly 10. He was a keen sportsman in his youth and played rugby for 20 years. Now he is still a keen motorcyclist and occasionally hits tennis and golf balls. The Accidental Survivor is his first book and a memoir of his life until now, describing the many mishaps he has encountered along the way. He is happily married and has three lovely kids.Gavin has dual British and Dutch citizenship and lives between Ireland and Portugal.
