But the author has included numerous others such as: warrants issued by Burke and Wilkes Counties that were used to obtain grants in Tennessee; a few warrants for Hawkins County; a 100 plus Revolutionary War warrants; warrants issued due to Surveyor's rights, preemption claims, service in Thomas Evan's Battalion (Cumberland Battalion), commissioners or guard rights, and some military warrants in various counties such as: Washington, Greene, Sullivan, Hawkins, Jefferson, Knox, Maury, Eastern District, Middle District, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Tennessee and No Name Counties. The Index mentions approximately 8,800 persons.
