She has contributed to books such as Contemporary Social Studies: An Essential Reader and has been published in numerous journals including Social Studies and the Young Learner. Turner is a Professor Emeritus of Social Science Education at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Jeremiah Clabough is a Professor of Social Science Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.
