She studied at Oxford University and worked as a teacher in the UK and Kenya before becoming a writer. Miriam has written over 75 books for children, including the award-winning Wibble Wobble, My Loose Tooth (also illustrated by Joanna Mockler). Miriam is married with three children and lives in East Sussex. Joanna Mockler was born in Stoke on Trent and was brought up in the seaside town of Formby.
