Sometimes I Lie: A dark and emotional psychological thriller

Overview

Some lies are so deep, we start to believe them. Willow fled her past for the tranquil beauty of Ontario’s Thousand Islands, but beneath the picture-perfect surface lies a tangled web of deception, ambition, and revenge. Raised to believe winning is everything, Willow is still chasing the ghost of a childhood shaped by beauty pageants and perfection. Now, with the FBI closing in, ailing family obligations mounting, and a kind-hearted artist by her side, Willow is running out of time, and truth. Her need for money is urgent. Her need for revenge is consuming. But when her plans start to unravel and her health begins to fail, Willow must confront the darkest lie of all: the one she tells herself. Sometimes I Lie is a chilling psychological suspense novel about obsession, legacy, and the brutal cost of chasing the life you think you deserve. Book three in the Breaking Point Series is perfect for fans of The Push, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and Sharp Objects.

Author Information

Dr. Sharon A. Mitchell lives on a farm, with her nearest neighbor several miles away. Doesn't that seem like the ideal setting to spark the imagination? She takes long walks with her hundred-pound German Shepherd dogs, Pickles and Dill. (She didn't name them - don't blame her). The Farmers of Goodrich County is a series of clean and wholesome romances set in a western small town, farming region. She's working on her eighth psychological thriller novel for the When Bad Things Happen series. Besides two, three short stories tied to that series, and bonus material at the end of many of the books, she's written six novels, each featuring an autistic child or young adult. Two nonfiction books accompany that autism series. Sharon's been a teacher, counselor, psychologist and consultant for decades and continues to teach university classes to soon-to-be teachers and administrators.
