Author Information

Chag Lowry is the author of The Original Patriots: Northern California Indian Veterans of World War Two and The Original Patriots: California Indian Veterans of the Korean War. He is the co-producer and co-director of the PBS film The Original Patriots: Northern California Indian Veterans of World War II. Chag is of Yurok, Maidu, and Achumawi Native ancestry from northern California. He is related to multiple generations of Native American veterans of the United States military. Rahsan Ekedal is the co-creator of the critically acclaimed comic book Think Tank published by Top Cow that ran from 2012 to 2017. His work on the 2010 graphic novel Echoes earned multiple Harvey Award nominations. In 2015 he was the storyboard artist for Wes Craven's final film, The Girl in the Photographs. Rahsan was born in northern California and grew up on the Mattole and Eel rivers. He studied illustration under Charles Pyle at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and now lives in Berlin, Germany.
