It includes Heinrich Muller, a disillusioned German officer with conflicting loyalties, and Edward Preston, a young Englishman who believes his family abandoned him during their audacious escape from the Nazi colony of Ostland. This clandestine mission brings the Preston family back together after five long years of separation and presents Muller with a chance at personal redemption, but the stakes are much higher than any of the participants could imagine. If the conspirators succeed, the people of Europe will have an opportunity for peace after more than a decade of occupation and oppression...but, if they fail, the entire world risks being plunged into a new war of unprecedented ferocity.
