OverviewWhile the Gods Fight their Divine War, Janus Amor is a typical morose teenager. He's brilliant, lonely, and sits atop a society floating in the clouds. His grand scheme is to become the world's most prosperous magician; probing into uncharted dimensions, exploring worlds beyond, being a champion of the elevated man. Unlike the other students at Loremaster Academy, he has no natural talent for magic. He must rely on his beautiful older sister, awkward friends, and even his school bully to discover the secrets of Skyhaven and its precarious fate. He must face dark gods, a mischievous djinn spirit, and a very normal desire to find his missing father in this steam-punk teen novel. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationI wish I could blame my creative madness on some illegal substance, but the truth is I was just born ""weird"" in the sleepy town of Longmont, Colorado in '82. My folks were both musicians and creative, especially my old man Jim. He filled our barn with upbeat bluegrass music & taught me the value of hard work. I loved helping him create posters and make cd covers for his band of hillbillies. I spent way too much money on a degree in Illustration (regretably). Corey James Jones inspired me to get into writing in 2008 after college. His ambition and positive attitude kept me working as we wrote our first novel together. We're both publishing our book series that's set in the same universe using some of the same characters. The world is called ""Gentricus"" and the plot revolves around 12 generations of magical beings that struggle to win a divine wager by the gods; hence the series title ""Gen 12."" Even though it's a fantasy book series, the events and characters are inspired by real world events and my dear friends. I'm grateful for all those who have supported me throughout the long 18 year writing process. The second book is dedicated to my loving wife Kristen who was kind enough to actually read it! We're celebrating 10 years of marriage this summer, and our son has enjoyed hearing my silly stories before bedtime. Art and writing have always kept me sane in this wacky world. I think everybody ought to have at least one creative pursuit in life to celebrate our humanity... before the A.I. robots take over! Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
