Author Information

Michael Morpurgo has an unparalleled reputation as a children's storyteller. He is the author of I Believe in Unicorns (9781406302042), Beowulf (9781844287543) and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (9781844287307), both illustrated by Michael Foreman, and also Private Peaceful, winner of the 2004 Red House Children's Book Award, as well as numerous other prize-winners. He lives in Devon. Peter Bailey has been illustrating books for more than thirty-five years, and has worked with some of Britain's best-known authors, including Philip Pullman, Dick King-Smith and many others. He lives near Liverpool.
