Author Information

Leslie Sanders was born and raised in the Republic of Panama, where a rich cultural upbringing shaped her open-minded worldview. With credentials in Elementary Education and a Master's in Curriculum Development, she taught first grade for three years, including two as a Spanish bilingual teacher. Two years after being diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, Leslie is living her best life-thanks to her support network, care team, and a passionate cancer coach. Her journey inspired her to share lessons on healthy living and the power of mindset through a children's story told in the voice of her granddaughter, Sofia. Michael J. O'Brien was born and raised in Italy, where a rich cultural heritage shaped his love for art. As a child, he combined his passion for soccer and art by making illustrations of his favorite soccer players. Today, he continues to pursue both soccer and art as a student athlete studying Graphic Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
