Amelie Anastasia is a 12 year old author (Fox Tales, Fox Tales 2, Wolf Tales, and the new Shelter Dogs), podcast host (What's Up Young Authors!), philanthropist and animal advocate from Petoskey, Michigan. Amelie's first-ever donation was to her local Little Traverse Bay Humane Society at the age of four. Having grown up with adopted dogs, Amelie is a strong advocate for animal adoption and for supporting local shelters in every way possible. Amelie raised $9,000 for her local shelter by auctioning off the opportunity to name characters in her fourth book, Shelter Dogs, after beloved pets. For two years Amelie has been meeting adopted animals from around the country, learning their stories, and writing heartwarming tales inspired by their experiences finding a second chance thanks to animal shelters and everyone who helps make their mission possible. When she isn't writing and advocating for animals, Amelie also loves acting, singing, and playing with her dogs, Rudy and Prince.
