Overview

On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Christian Lackner, Professor of Historical Auxiliary Sciences with a focus on the Middle Ages at the University of Vienna, the festivities are published by a total of 24 contributions from colleagues, friends and students from Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland. The topics covered are based on the research priorities of the jubilee, whereby auxiliary scientific, source-scientific and constitutional-historical questions dominate. In addition to studies on the history of the countries of Austria, Tyrol, Carinthia and Krain, the volume contains contributions to the history of the university, the Margraves and Dukes of Austria and their surroundings, as well as to the deed system and the history of provincial and imperial law firms.
