She grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and has fond memories going to her Grandfathers property on the lakeshore in the summers. She attended Grand Valley State University but suffered severe symptoms of Bipolar Disorder which eventually led to her disability. She started writing poetry as a way to work through her depression. She has a deep love for people, especially the marginalized. When she is not writing she is with her wonderful husband, Jerimiah, and her sweet cuddly dog, Budge. She is a huge music fan. Twenty One Pilots saved her life in her darkest times and will forever be her favorite band. She also loves an eclectic mix such as Noah Kahan, Hozier, Mumford & Sons, bbno$, Bon Iver, Smashing Pumpkins, YungBlud, & The Beach Boys.
