Nicknamed The Whirlwind, because of his fast, attacking style of play, often being referred to as the People's Champion , White is a 6 time World Championship finalist, the 1980 World Amateur Champion, 2009 Six-red Grand Prix champion, 2010 World Seniors Champion and 1984 World Doubles champion with Alex Higgins. Jimmy's title wins include the UK Championship, the Masters and the Nations Cup. A 2-time winner of both the World Cup and the British Open, White was the first left-handed player, and second player overall, to record a maximum break at the World Championship.
