Reviews

Weil is the third-generation owner of Rockmount Ranch Wear, an iconic Western wear brand based in Denver that has been around for 80 years. In his third book (following Ask Papa Jack: Wisdom of the World's Oldest CEO), he begins with the history of Rockmount and how his grandfather started the business. There are color photos of catalogs, ads, magazine articles, and posters that feature Rockmount merchandise. Rockmount Western shirts have been worn by celebrities, in film and television shows, by musical artists, and politicians. Color photos depicting celebrities wearing the shirts accompany the text. The author's love for the family business is apparent in his writing and the many photos throughout that show him smiling next to his celebrity customers. The writing is clear and packed with Rockmount history. Color photos of the shirts throughout the decades show readers how the different styles have evolved over the years. VERDICT This fascinating book will appeal to those interested in history, fashion, film, and music. Although this is a very specific subject, it could appeal to readers with varying interests. For collections with strong fashion sections.-- ""Library Journal""
