He founded the Robert Louis Stevenson website in 1996 and participated actively in the publication of the Journal of Stevenson Studies and in a series of biennial conferences dedicated to the author. Apart from numerous articles on Stevenson, he has published a critical edition of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and a fully annotated edition of the same work. Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson, novelist, essayist, and poet, is considered to be one of the great classic storytellers. Stevenson wrote a number of popular and enduring fantasies, including Treasure Island (1883) and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1886) and a host of short stories.
