Greg MacDougall is an engaged, experienced leader with a keen passion and understanding in customer value focused, people-centric, lean transformations. While a senior leader at Cogent Power, Greg was Certified in 2004 by the Cardiff University, Lean Enterprise Research Centre consulting team of SA Partners LLC, as a Lean Program Coach and is credited as a driving force behind one of Canada's most recognized and successful lean conversions at Cogent Power Inc., case study subject of the Shingo Prize awarded, CRC-Productivity Press publication: Staying Lean, Thriving Not Just Surviving, as contributed to by Mr. MacDougall. Greg is highly skilled and knowledgeable in quality management, safety and lean thinking having directed numerous global project undertakings while serving in his capacity at Cogent Power, as well as, Corporate Director, Quality Management, ABC NACO, Chicago, IL, and Quality Systems Manager, Dofasco Steel (Arcelor Mittal), Hamilton, ON. Greg MacDougall is an engaged, experienced With Cogent Power sought after as an international lean benchmark by many business sectors, Mr. MacDougal worked directly with business leaders covering a range of topics including: strategic processes; leadership and leader standard work; voice of the customer; lean safety; lean maturity diagnostics; tools and techniques of lean; problem solving; cultural transformation; horizontal integration; and Training Within Industries (TWI) job instruction processes to name a few. As a Certified Training Within Industries Job Instruction Trainer, Greg is highly qualified to provide expert assistance having directly overseen the effective implementation of Cogent Power's TWI standard work platform, inclusive of its custom fit management tools and behavior change focus. He is also credited as a pioneer of shop floor leadership development through the introduction of a breakthrough Lean Apprentice Coach strategy which engages, instructs, coaches and mentors small groups of employees in several disciplines, whilst developing their abilities in peer to peer coaching.
