Overview

"Randolph the Moose lives with his mother in the Great White North. After a chance encounter with the reindeer from Santa Claus' sleigh-pulling team, Randolph finds new joy in trail running as he trains to join the reindeer in Santa's flight school. I've known Gerry for most of my life, and he has always been a leader. With the story he's created in Randolph the Christmas Moose, he empowers kids to find the unique leader within themselves and how to not allow stereotyping to limit their potential. I believe children will love this whimsical tale and also feel encouraged to find their own voice. -- Austin Highsmith Garces, author of The Miracle Tree and actor in Dolphin Tale 1 and 2 Randolph the Christmas Moose shares a twist to a familiar tale, filled with humor and character building, to produce an important message about what we want all of our children to be: hard-working, determined and true to themselves. Readers of all ages will easily relate to Randolph and the challenges he faces as he strives to achieve a dream. -- Adam Dovico, educator & author of When Kids Lead, The Limitless School and Inside the Trenches A charming and funny story that will not only entertain kids, but also help them understand that other people's opinions don't define them. A fun book for kids AND their grown-ups! -- Lindsay Thompson, filmmaker and writer for PBS' Arthur Randolph the Christmas Moose addresses many important childhood themes, including acceptance, endurance and bullying, without sounding 'preachy.' The sly humor will appeal to readers who enjoy Jon Scieska. The lessons of Randolph are presented in a fresh, new story that will appeal to many ages. Parents will enjoy sharing it with young readers, and it will also appeal to emergent and newly independent readers. Readers will cheer for Randolph as he never gives up in his quest for acceptance. -- Sue Elder, Ed.D., public and elementary school librarian, educator and bibliophile
