He has researched widely in the field of 'race' and housing. Along with Andy Steele, he also conducted an investigation into career opportunities for ethnic minorities in housing associations in the North West of England and is currently completing a similar national project. He has also published works on social exclusion issues. Andy Steele is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Social Research at the University of Salford. He also researches in the field of 'race' and housing. He has been responsible for studies of the housing needs of black and other minority ethnic groups.
