He holds a masters degree in psychology and education, with M.Litt in educational psychology and PhD in sports psychology. He has an experience of teaching to post-graduate classes in the area of educational psychology as well as measurement and evaluation. He has also worked as a coordinator in the Department of Correspondence Courses in the University for B.Ed. and M.Ed courses for a few years. He has the privilege of serving in the prestigious international famed institution, that is, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala, as a sports psychologist for many years. He worked as a team psychologist with Indian athletic team and Indian women’s hockey team before Busan Asian Games in 2002 while serving at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala. Dr Singh has also worked as principal-cum-director of a few colleges of education for three years after his retirement. He has published more than 200 articles and research papers in different journals and magazines of repute and published 81 books in psychology and education. Much of his work are under publication. He has guided 42 PhD scholars and 30 MPhil research theses and has attended more than 70 national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad where he had been presenting his research papers. He also attended 5th World Sports Psychology Conference held at Brussels, Belgium, in November 1987 and also visited National Institute of Sports at Paris, France. He has visited Belgium, France and the USA on academic pursuits. He was in Boston, USA, thrice and collaborated his work with well-known sports psychologists. Senologic International Society honoured him with research award in 2001. He was given ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in sports psychology by the Sports Psychology Association of India at the International Conference of Sports Psychology held at Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education, Gwalior, in 2009. He was also a member of the Senate and Syndicate of Punjabi University during 1990–1992. He was the member of the Finance Committee of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. He was honoured with the award of Eminent Psychologist by Praachi Psychocultural Research Association at its 10th Annual Conference held at DAV College for Women, Firozpur Cantt, in 2016. Recently, he was awarded Lifetime Achievement Award in psychology by International Telepsychology Association and Senologic International Society (USA) at Panjab University Chandigarh. Ramneet Kaur has a PhD in biotechnology with postdoctoral research training from Harvard Medical School, Boston, and Emory University, Atlanta, USA, in the field of cancer biology. Currently, she is a faculty in the Biology Department at the University of North Georgia, USA. Dr Kaur also has an academic position at Mercer University, Atlanta. Her research is in the field of triple-negative breast cancer. She has published various research papers in high impact factor scientific journals in the field of cancer. She has contributed many chapters on psychology topics in several books of psychology. Dr Kaur has an interest in an inter-disciplinary relationship of biology with psychology.
