Author Information

Professor Emeritus George C. Papanicolaou, University of Patras, Greece, is an expert in polymer physics and engineering, mechanics, and predictive modelling of composite materials structures, viscoelasticity, thermal analysis, etc., and a founding member of several scientific societies (e.g., Hellenic Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics). He teaches courses relevant to these fields: 'Polymers', 'Composite Materials', etc., being an author in more than 200 publications, more than 5 chapters, and 12 books in English and Greek. Professor Dionysis E. Mouzakis, Hellenic Army Academy, Greece, authored 65 peer-reviewed journal articles with more than 1200 international citations (h-index=20) and has participated in more than 100 international and national conferences. His topics of interest are the structure-mechanical property relationships in polymers, polymer blends, composite materials, and biomaterials. He is a full professor of mechanics at the Hellenic Military Academy, director of the mechanics laboratory, and head of the mathematics and engineering sector.
