Overview

Snowmen were only the beginning... Mitsui had headed north to escape getting caught up in the yakuza conflict occurring in Tokyo, while also distancing himself from his corrupt partner in the Shinjuku Police. However, his first case in Sapporo had soon shown him that no matter where he went in Japan, it's criminals were just as active... And that he was no less susceptible to being drawn into their world than his former partner was. Love doesn't care about laws, it doesn't care about distance or time either. Something which Mitsui comes to realise as Nohka once more steps back into his life after disappearing without a word at the end of Mitsui's last case. But it isn't only Nohka who makes a return. So does all the danger that surrounds him. As Nohka fights to retain his position as heir to the Voron Organisation, Mitsui is once more confronted by the complexities of being in love with a member of the local criminal community. Handed a case dealing with copyright infringements, what he and his partner at first believe to be a simple straightforward case, soon becomes something far more dangerous. The conflict in the criminal world once more intrudes upon Mitsui's professional life and the line he'd drawn between the two begins to crumble. As the conflict between Nohka and his cousins intensifies, Mitsui needs to make sure his case gets solved and they both stay alive.
