Overview

Jessie-Dog has had her puppies, but one is much smaller than the others. Dad says there's no place for weak pups on a farm. But Poppy insists it can do everything the others can, too. After all, when Poppy was born, it was a long time before she could come home from the hospital. So Poppy is determined to convince him that Pipsqueak can grow into a fine dog. But what if she fails? What if Dad decides Pipsqueak needs another home, far away from Poppy?

Deborah Kelly is a multi-award winning, internationally published author of picture books, junior fiction, middle-grade and young adult titles. Her books include the Ruby Wishfingers series, Little Horses and The Thing about Oliver, which was recently included in the sample school curriculum in New South Wales. Deborah is passionate about literacy and enjoys visiting schools, libraries and festival events to share her books with children. Amie Sabadin has been scribbling and splashing paint since forever. With a background in design, and a handbag always stocked with art supplies, she finds inspiration everywhere. She works in both traditional and digital mediums.
