Jameson Kısmet Bell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Western Languages and Literatures at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he previously chaired the Critical and Cultural Studies MA Program (2018-2023). His interdisciplinary research spans comparative literature, media studies, and the history of medicine, with a focus on short literary forms, urban space, and material culture in medieval, early modern, and contemporary contexts. Recent projects include a funded study, ""Literature is Everywhere: A Comparative Field Guide to Urban Literary Landscapes in Three Cities: Istanbul, Chicago, Berlin"" (2023-2026). His publications explore topics such as the materiality of short literature, the interplay between literature and medicine, and the materials of public literary expression.
