Over the years he has also served God in the local church as a children's minister, youth minister, associate pastor, interim pastor, and a senior pastor. In addition, he has worked in collegiate ministry and in denominational service at both the associational (district) level in Boston, Massachusetts, and at the state convention (regional) level in Maryland/Delaware and in New England, since 1998. He currently serves as the Church Planting Director/Strategist for the Baptist Convention of New England. Over the past two decades, he has helped facilitate the start of over 500 churches. He is a Doctor of Ministry graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He also has earned degrees from three other schools of higher education. This is his second book. In 2008, he was the primary author and editor of PlantLIFE: Principles and Practices in Church Planting. He has been married to his wife, Joye, for over thirty years. They have three grown children.
