Tom Kerss and Ryan French are long-time friends and collaborators, experienced authors and science communicators. Tom Kerss leads trips to view eclipses worldwide and will be travelling to Iceland (2026), Egypt (2027) and Australia (2028) for the forthcoming solar eclipses. He is also the Chief Aurora Chaser aboard the popular Hurtigruten Cruises. Tom has a background in astrophysics and spacecraft technology and delivered world-class public engagement programmes at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. He splits his time between the UK and the US. Dr Ryan French is a solar physicist, science communicator and author. He is pursuing the mysteries of the Sun at the forefront of modern solar physics research, using cutting edge telescopes on the ground and in space. His research takes him all over the world, collaborating with the global community of solar physicists. Ryan also works to share the wonders of the Sun and space with the public through social media, public talks, and occasionally on television and radio. Ryan is based in the US.
