It reminds readers of some of the leading new and older figures on the Oxford list, including substantial extracts from their work in progress. It also continues the work that the first anthology so notably did, introducing poetry by new writers, but now in the context of the Oxford'Poets' list as a whole. The variety of work - in its provenance, its formal choices, its thematic concerns - is impressive.
