They say that being a New Year's baby is supposed to be good luck. You know, the first baby born in the new year? The parents get free diapers and stuff because their kid happened to pop out on that particular day before anyone else's, at least in their general vicinity. It's all a load of crap. If luck were real, being the first person born on 01/01/01 should have made me the luckiest person alive. Instead, I'm cursed. Felicity Sloan has just woken up on her seventeenth birthday, in the seventeenth version of her life. Never knowing where she'll end up or who will be a part of her life from year to year has really taken its toll. She still doesn't understand the rules of this twisted game, so she's keeping her head down and trying not to cause any trouble for her alter ego when she shifts into an alternate reality each year, presumably leaving the previous life behind to carry on without her. Unfortunately, that means her life has been pretty lonely. When she finds herself in yet another new school, some particularly welcoming classmates, including super hot Devon Marshall, make her question her isolated lifestyle and consider taking a chance on risking friendships, and maybe more, despite her crazy life. But will relationships that can only last a year be worth it? Or will the inevitable heartbreak of leaving everyone she cares about behind destroy her?
