Atkinson is retired as assistant bishop in Southwark Diocese. Previously, he served as fellow of Corpus Christi College in Oxford, England, archdeacon of Lewisham and bishop of Thetford. He is the author of several other books and commentaries. David Field is director of professional ministry, Church Pastoral Aid Society, Warwick, England; formerly vice-principal of Oak Hill College, London. Arthur F. Holmes (Ph.D., Northwestern) is professor emeritus of philosophy at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. O'Donovan is Regius professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology, University of Oxford.
